Time permitting I will travel from the Wellington region through to the Manawatū Region. Sessions outside of the South Wairarapa will incur travel costs of $1.04 per km.

It is best to book through the contact link but you could send me a facebook or Instagram message and we can arrange a time to chat.

Once a date and time is booked I will send you a questionnaire, a consent form and an invoice. Once these are returned to me with a deposit paid your spot is secured and we are ready to have some fun!

I want you to be your authentic selves and clothing often reflects this, however we can discuss clothing colour palettes and choices prior to the shoot to enhance your images

Did you know every location requires consent even if it is your own home! And some locations such as council land require a small fee to have images taken at them. We can discuss your preferences but often a place you feel at home and comfortable is the best place. We can discuss this during the booking process.

If you choose a public place with a fee attached this will be added to the session cost.

The moody days often make for the most beautiful images, and I am not afraid of a wee bit of rain and neither should you!. We can re book if the weather is looking too hairy!

Sunrise and sunset, golden hours make for beautiful photos and are said to be the best outdoor portrait times. However coordinating these times with the season and small human needs are often impossible. So, we can look at any time of the day that doesn't involve harsh sunlight and fits in with your children. We will communicate during the booking process to find the best time for you. We want everyone well rested, fed and watered!

I will communicated with you on the morning of the shoot and then we will meet at the chosen location. It is important to be punctual for many reasons but I do understand life can be unpredictable. Communication is paramount, and I ask you to contact me if you are running late.

We will have a chat and gradually and calmly move into the photography space. I prefer sessions to be naturally occurring and authentic but I will give gentle posing cues if needed. I believe your interactions together will create the most beautiful images, so trust yourself and your connections.

You go home and wait for those sneak peeks!

My aim is to make you feel as comfortable as possible, that is why choosing a location that you have an affinity with is crucial.

I try and get to know who you are, what you enjoy and what you want from these images. I work hard to make this time fun and one that you enjoy. I keep family portraits and child sessions short to ensure boredom or unsettledness doesn't set in.

Children aren't meant to be stationary beings!

Personally, many of my favourite images are when people are engaging between themselves and not me. I believe connection over perfection is best.

Yes we can work to capture the traditional posed kind of image for sure, but ideally I am working to keep memories alive and so movement, authenticity and being as natural as possible is my aim.

This shoot is all about you! Cultural dress or items welcome, special cuddles, blankets or small and understated toys for children of help engage them.

If you think snacks will help, consider choices that will keep the face and clothes clean.

I love to share images to inspire others of the beauty that is around us. However, this will only be done with written consent. You can choose to be on all three of my media sites or none, it is your choice.

Taking the photos is the fun, easy and quick part of photography process.

I will endeavour to get a sneak peak to you the day of the shoot or the next morning. The rest of your gallery will arrive between 1-4 weeks. Editing is very time consuming, so I ask for your patience.
